Position Objective - Essendon Airport

We are seeking to employ an individual who not only has the qualifications, personal attributes and skills required, but who also has a proven ability within the industry. We wish to engage a professional to represent Sharp Airlines to our clients and customers.

The successful applicant(s) will be required to work in our Operations Centre at Essendon Airport. Typical work hours are 6:00am-2:00pm or 1:00pm-9:00pm with the availability for weekend and after hours work where required. Our Operations Department is responsible for managing up to 15 Aircraft and 50 personnel on a 24/7 basis.

Remuneration is subject to experience and length of commitment. Sharp Airlines is willing to negotiate with potential applicants.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous aviation experience in Operations, Ground Handling or Logistics
• Capable of holding an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC)

Position Description

• Quoting, coordination and implementation of charter flights
• Design, implementation and monitoring of schedules
• Rostering of pilots in accordance with the provisions of the regulations or applicable exemptions
• Dissemination of rosters to all flight crew and senior management staff
• Compliance with respect to the company's recent experience requirements, including dissemination of notices to Aircrew
• Maintenance and upkeep of flight and duty times of all flight crew
• Ensuring crew accommodation is organised as required for overnights
• Ensure crew meals are organised as required
• Always seeking to improve the way Sharp Airlines functions to ensure the most efficient and effective economical practices at all times
• Take part in the Sharp Airlines performance management system
• Perform other lawful tasks as required by the company

 

Assisting the Continued Airworthiness Manager with the following tasks:

• Co-ordination and scheduling of maintenance with the Maintenance Controller
• Aircraft of Ground (AOG) follow up and effect of changed utilisation
• Trend Data Entry
• Spectrometric Oil Analysis Program (S.O.A.P) administration
• Aircraft Maintenance Logs & Deferred Defect Logs
• Original documentation collation, filing and archiving

 

Coordinating disruption management with affected flights/passenger in the following manner, but not limited to:

• Notifying affected ports of delays/disruptions
• Liaising with the company Ground Agents with regard to notification of schedule and aircraft changes and other related issues
• Coordinating with the maintenance hotline representative to recieve advice on maintenance matters
• Informing company personnel of disruption IAW communication sheet/checklist
• Advising passengers of the delay and expected time frames
• Decision making based on time frames as to whether or not we look at alternative means to transport the passengers
• Make arrangements for alternative travel, i.e. charter or bus transfers
• Make arrangements when required to accommodate passengers
• Ensuring economic factors are taken into account when organising the previous two points
