Carriage of animals for:

Pets must be pre booked and are consigned as freight, they are to be checked in no later than 70 minutes before departure time, they may be refused boarding if not checked in by this time.

Prior to your departure, please download and complete the Household Pets - Shipper's Statement & Acknowledgement form and the Declaration By Owner Or Importer For The Entry Of Dogs Into Tasmanian form and present at check in.

Rates are based on Weight of animal + weight of crate

King Island - Burnie (Wynyard) and King Island - Launceston (per sector)

1 to 10 Kg maximum crate size - 53cm x 37cm x 37cm (PP-20) - $74.18 Each way
10 to 30 Kg crate size - 82cm x 56cm x 60cm (PP-50) - $129.82 Each way
31kg+ (Max 40Kg incl crate) crate size - 115cm x 66cm x 80cm (PP-70) - $259.65 Each Way
Crate Hire $55.64 One way

Please Note:

Bookings for unaccompanied animals will be taken on a request only basis only, carriage will be confirmed 24Hrs prior to departure.
Snub nose / Brachycephalic breeds will only be accepted with a fit for travel certificate & through a licensed Pet transport company.
Dogs consigned from Victoria to Tasmania (Flinders Island and King Island) will only be accepted if covered by a veterinary certificate showing the animal has been treated against hydatids. Please see below link to Biosecurity Tasmania on requirements for brown dog tick.

Sharp Airlines does not provide a forwarding service so arrangements must be made for unaccompanied pets to be collected on arrival.

Pets may be carried on Sharp Airlines as long as the following requirements are met:

Pets are carried in an RSPCA approved "Pet Pack" which can be purchased through your local pet shop or vet.
Maximum cage/crate size in 73Lx44Wx52H cm and must contain a moisture absorbent mat.
Sharp Airlines does not provide a forwarding service so arrangements must be made for unaccompanied pets to be collected on arrival.
