We at Sharp Airlines have been devastated to see the impact of COVID-19 on regional communities throughout Australia, particularly those reliant on tourism. In the hope that these individuals and businesses will recover from the ongoing impact of this pandemic as quickly as possible, we are doing everything we can to support those who have always supported us, like the Flinders Island community.

During this time, we will be providing a connection for the residents of Flinders Island and State Government approved essential workers to mainland Australia, through two weekly return services between Essendon Airport and Flinders Island.

This will ensure those residents and essential workers that need to travel to and from Flinders Island will have continued access to air travel in and out of the island.  Non-residents or non-essential workers will not be permitted to travel on these services.

Our goal is to continue delivering the same high-quality service that we've prided ourselves on for the past 30 years, helping our island community carry on with their lives as easily as possible during this challenging time.

We hope that it is only a matter of time before tourism on the islands will flourish again... but in the meantime, we're doing all that we can to support our Flinders Island residents.

Please note: anyone who is not a resident of Flinders Island travelling into the island will be turned away at the airport, and residents will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon return to Flinders Island.
